【摘要】:ThispracticeprovidessupplementalinstructionsforusingTestMethodD5961/D5961Mtoobtainbearingfatiguedataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,materialdesignallowables,andqualityassurance.Theprimarypropertythatresultsisthefatiguelifeofthetestspecimenunderaspecificloadingandenvironmentalcondition.Replicatetestsmaybeusedtoobtainadistributionoffatiguelifeforspecificmaterialtypes,laminatestackingsequences,environments,andloadingconditions.Guidanceinstatisticalanalysisoffatiguedata,suchasdeterminationoflinearizedstresslife(S-N)curves,canbefoundinPracticeE739.Thispracticecanbeutilizedinthestudyoffatiguedamageinapolymermatrixcompositebearingspecimen.ThelossinstrengthassociatedwithfatiguedamagemaybedeterminedbydiscontinuingcyclicloadingtoobtainthestaticstrengthusingTestMethodD5961/D5961M.Note28212;Thispracticemaybeusedasaguidetoconductspectrumloading.Thisinformationcanbeusefulintheunderstandingoffatiguebehaviorofcompositestructuresunderspectrumloadingconditions,butisnotcoveredinthisstandard.Factorsthatinfluencebearingfatigueresponseandshallthereforebereportedincludethefollowing:material,methodsofmaterialfabrication,accuracyoflay-up,laminatestackingsequenceandoverallthickness,specimengeometry,specimenpreparation(especiallyofthehole),fastener-holeclearance,fastenertype,fastenergeometry,fastenerinstallationmethod,fastenertorque(ifappropriate),countersinkdepth(ifappropriate),specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,timeattemperature,typeofmatingmaterial,numberoffasteners,typeofsupportfixture,specimenalignmentandgripping,testfrequency,force(stress)ratio,bearingstressmagnitude,voidcontent,andvolumepercentreinforcement.Propertiesthatresultincludethefollowing:Holeelongationversusfatiguelifecurvesforselectedbearingstressvalues.Bearingstressversusholeelongationcurvesatselectedcyclicintervals.Bearingstressversusfatiguelifecurvesforselectedholeelongationvalues.1.1Thispracticeprovidesinstructionsformodifyingstaticbearingtestmethodstodeterminethefatiguebehaviorofcompositematerialssubjectedtocyclicbearingforces.Thecompositematerialformsarelimitedtocontinuous-fiberreinforcedpolymermatrixcompositesinwhichthelaminateisbothsymmetricandbalancedwithrespecttothetestdirection.Therangeofacceptabletestlaminatesandthicknessesaredescribedin8.2.1.2ThispracticesupplementsTestMethodD5961/D5961Mwithprovisionsfortestingspecimensundercyclicloading.Severalimportanttestspecimenparameters(forexample,fastenerselection,fastenerinstallationmethod,andfatigueforce/stressratio)arenotmandatedbythispractice;however,repeatableresultsrequirethattheseparametersbespecifiedandreported.1.3Thispracticeislimitedtotestspecimenssubjectedtoconstantamplitudeuniaxialloading,wherethemachineiscontrolledsothatthetestspecimenissubjectedtorepetitiveconstantamplitudeforce(stress)cycles.Eitherengineeringstressorappliedforcemaybeusedasaconstantamplitudefatiguevariable.Therepetitiveloadingsmaybetensile,compressive,orreversed,dependinguponthetestspecimenandprocedureutilized.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combi......
