【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedirectdeterminationofwaterintherangeof10to25000mg/kgentrainedwaterinpetroleumproductsandhydrocarbonsusingautomatedinstrumentation.ThistestmethodalsocoverstheindirectanalysisofwaterthermallyremovedfromsamplesandsweptwithdryinertgasintotheKarlFischertitrationcell.Mercaptan,sulfide(SorH2S),sulfur,andothercompoundsareknowntointerferewiththistestmethod(seeSection5).ThistestmethodisintendedforusewithcommerciallyavailablecoulometricKarlFischerreagentsandforthedeterminationofwaterinadditives,lubeoils,baseoils,automatictransmissionfluids,hydrocarbonsolvents,andotherpetroleumproducts.Byproperchoiceofthesamplesize,thistestmethodmaybeusedforthedeterminationofwaterfrommg/kgtopercentlevelconcentrations.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementsareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
