【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverpowerdistributionblocksthatarerated600voltsorlessandintendedtobeusedontheloadsideofserviceequipmentinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Theseblocksareusedforsplicingandtappingconductorsinmetallicwireways,auxiliarygutters,junctionboxes,terminationboxes,andthelike,inordertodistributepowertoseparatecircuitsorloads.1.2Apower-distributionblockconsistsofoneormoreconnectorsmountedonaninsulatingbase.Eachconnectorhasprovisionforoneormoreincomingconductorsandmultipletap-offconductors.Atap-offconductorisofthesameorsmallersizeastheincomingconductor.Theconnectorsmaybeofthelay-inconstructionwhichdonotrequiretheincomingconductortobeterminated.1.3Apowerdistributionblockisintendedtopermanentlysupportandinsulatethewireterminationsandjointsofeachpolarityfromeachother,andfromthesurfaceonwhichthepowerdistributionblockismounted.Apowerdistributionblockmayalsobeprovidedwithaninsulatingcover.1.4TheserequirementsdonotcoverterminalblockswhicharecoveredbytheStandardforTerminalBlocks,UL1059.1.5Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisOutlineofInvestigation,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisOutlineofInvestigation.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisOutlineofInvestigationcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisOutlineofInvestigation.
